LT7649 Fast Curing Activating Agent

Applications：

After the activating agent sprayed or coated on the threads is evaporated, a large number of active metal ions will be left on the surface of the threads, which can activate the inert surfaces so as to accelerate the cure of anaerobic sealant.

The activating agent shall be applied under the following circumstances

1. Low environment temperature: Under 10℃,the curing process takes much longer time than in summer. Low temperature not only can dramatically slow down the curing process of sealant, sometimes even the sealant can’t be fully cured as a result, and consequentially the strength will decline substantially. With activating agent, sealants can be completely cured and fully functioning within 60-90 minutes.

2. Designed for big sized clearances: Normally anaerobic sealant is applicable to a clearance within 0.25mm. But with activating agent, it can be increased to 0.5mm. It is designed for sealing big sized pipe threads such as DN80 and above.

3. In the event that anaerobic sealant is applied on threaded parts 

made of non-active metals, such as stainless steel, alloy steel or aluminum alloy, or the joint surface with a little bit oil stain on it, the curing process will take much longer than on active metals, such as steel, bronzeand iron. Under 10℃,the sealant may not be fully cured.

4. Once the installation is done, it will come into use immediately as per the technical requirements.

Usage

1. Spray or coat the activating agent on the joint surface; leave it for vaporizing for about 30 seconds;then coat the sealant on the other joint surface of the work piece; assemble and adjust the angle immediately

2. You can also spay or coat activating agent on a joint surface in advance. The agent will be perfectly effective within 30 days.

Notice:

1. Don’t mix activating agent up with sealant.

2. The activating agent has strong volatility. After use, please tighten the cap back to the bottle.
